Re: Using Frame 5.5.6 and 6.0 together...



It is POSSIBLE if you don't install to the same directory,
but certainly NOT RECOMMENDED. Once you install 6.0, double-clicking
on a document results in FrameMaker 6 being run, unless you know how
to hack the registry. FrameMaker 5.5.6 at that point can only be
run via the "Start" menu. Files would then be open from within
FrameMaker 5.5.6.

If you otherwise have Acrobat installed, don't let the FrameMaker 6
installation install Acrobat Distiller 4.05, regardless of whether
you have FrameMaker 5.5.6 installed.
