Quark?

I'm listening to all this speculation about alternative to
Frame, and speculating right along with you.  I've used and
loved Frame since '92, but like y'all, I see the writing on
the wall. Here's my question:

How about Quark? I've never used it, but I hear they're
moving towards XML import/export, which seems like the right
direction to me. It would be handy for Tech Pubs to be using
the same software that our graphic designers use on our
collateral. Does anyone know first-hand if Quark is a
plausible alternative to Frame?
